Additionally, you will serve as a mentor to fellow team members, providing guidance and support to ensure the highest standards of care on the unit. The Emergency Department (ED) at Unity Hospital is a 70-bed, high-acuity unit that serves over 50,000 patients annually, providing exceptional care to a diverse population with both acute and chronic conditions. As a Primary Stroke Center and with multiple accreditations such as GEDA Silver Level and PACED Silver Level, the ED offers a dynamic, fast-paced environment where nurses can develop advanced clinical skills while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. This role is part of the Registered Nurse Level IV / Clinical Nurse IV must complete the following: + Complete the Clinical Ladder binder within 12 months of employment + Minimum of 5 activities in each Pillar (Leadership, Quality, and Organizational Contribution) + 15 Continuing education units (CEU's) + 20 Flex items STATUS: Full Time LOCATION: Unity Hospital DEPARTMENT: Emergency Department (ED) SCHEDULE: Day/Evening/Night - Every other weekend / holiday DESIRED ATTRIBUTES: + Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required. + Minimum of 6 months experience as a registered nurse. + Basic Life Support (BLS) certification RESPONSIBILITIES + Assessment. Perform initial and ongoing assessment of the patient; demonstrate exceptional clinical judgment and advanced assessment skills; communicate and document assessment with interdisciplinary team; utilize all available resources in order to meet the needs of the patient and family + Planning & Implementation. Develop and document plan of care, treatment and services; collaborate interdisciplinary health team to deliver care; maintains an appropriate nurse-patient relationship and provides an exceptional experience for the patient and family + Evaluation & Education. Evaluate, communicate and document patient responses to care; revise plan of care based on ongoing evaluations; ensure the patient receives and understands education/training specific to their needs and abilities + Training. Provide training for new team members on the unit; assume role of teacher for nursing students and other students shadowing on the unit; act as a resource for other team members for both clinical and non-clinical matters EDUCATION: BS: Nursing (Required) LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA), RN - Registered Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED) PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting. PAY RANGE: $38.22 - $50.96 CITY: Rochester POSTAL CODE: 14626 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
