We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated Inpatient Transplant Coordinator to execute the following job duties with our inpatient liver transplantpopulation.
Essential Duties:
Responsible for the planning and coordination of all aspects of liver transplant patients’ care from referral to post transplant.Serves as the primary coordinator for the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, social workers, dieticians, pharmacists, financial analysts, case managers, and support staffDevelops, coordinates, implements, and evaluates educational programs/projects for patients, personnel and the communityCollects/documents data to meet clinical, financial, and regulatory requirementsParticipates in the development of guidelines, protocols, pathways and other performance improvement activitiesParticipates in research activitiesServes as a patient advocate throughout the transplant/surgical processRepresents the Medical Center at regional and national meeting/conferencesQualifications
Education:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program required
BSN required
License/Certifications:
Current, unrestricted California RN License requiredBLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross requiredSpecialty or Transplant certification required within one year from start dateExperience:
A minimum of 3 years Acute Care or Critical Care experience requiredExperience as a Transplant Coordinator preferredCedars-Sinai is an EEO employer.
