As a Clinical Nurse III in our outpatient clinic, you can look forward to using the full range of your professional nursing skills to implement the following duties.Provide and detail direct and indirect patient care services that ensure the safety, comfort, personal hygiene, and protection of patients.Educate patients on disease prevention and restorative measuresAdministration of medications and therapeutic agents is vitalto implement thetreatment, disease prevention, or rehabilitative plan of careObserves signs and symptoms of illness, reactions to medications/treatments, general behavior, and/or general physical conditionAssess the signs, symptoms, reactions, behaviors, or general appearance to determine normal versus abnormal characteristicsPlan and implement care based on your observationsImplements appropriate reporting, referrals and care, following standardized proceduresInitiate emergency procedures when indicatedCare for special patient populations and patients with diverse cultural backgroundsDetermine patients' readiness for learning and ability to grasp and provide consent
QualificationsQualifications:Education:Graduate of an accredited nursing program requiredBSN degree preferredLicense/Certifications:Current, unrestricted RN license in the State of California requiredACLS and PALS certification from the American Heart Association requiredSpecialty certification required (or willing to obtain within one year of start date) - preferably in Med-Surg or Ambulatory nursingExperience:A minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience requiredAt least 1 year of ambulatory care experience requiredCedars-Sinai is an EEO employer.
