As a Clinical Nurse III (CN III) in the Children’s Health Center, you will work with a multidisciplinary team to support the pediatric specialty clinic. This position is an outpatient role and will support the fast paced endocrinology practice. The position also requires cross training for other specialties in order to support clinic needs.

Assessment and rooming of Pediatric patientsTriage incoming patient calls appropriatelyAssist with Insurance Authorization of medicationAssist in coordinating at home and community-based careCollaborates to problem solve and make decisions to achieve desired outcomesResponds timely, effectively and appropriately to deliverablesShares knowledge, time and competencies to assist other members of the teamEnsures practices and procedures are inclusive of interpersonal and cultural diversityActs as a team lead to include overseeing the work of others, assigning or allocating work to team, and ensuring tasks are completed according to deadlines and quality standards

QualificationsQualifications:

Education:

Graduate of an accredited nursing program requiredBSN degree preferred

License/Certifications:

Current, unrestricted California RN license requiredBLS and PALS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross requiredAmbulatory Nurse Certification or other specialty nursing certification required (or willing to obtain within one year from start date)

Experience:

A minimum of 3 years of acute care nursing experience requiredAt least three years of outpatient Pediatric nursing experience required2 years in a pediatric setting preferred
