Performs independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards as defined by the state Board of Nursing. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care.

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care of patients. The staff RN utilizes the nursing process by use of technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice and coordination of care with other health team members.

Key Responsibilities:
Assess physical, psychological, and social status of patients, including developmental and cognitive abilitiesCollaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to direct and coordinate careDevelop individualized care plans based on assessment data and clinical judgmentProvide or delegate patient care in accordance with care plans, guidelines, and licensurePrepare patients for discharge needs, including education, referrals, and follow-up careEvaluate patient responses and adapt interventions accordinglyMaintain compliance with legal and ethical standards and document care accuratelyMinimum Qualifications:
One year of nursing experience in a comparable setting, preferredGraduation from an accredited School of NursingASN/ADN required; BSN must be obtained within four years of hire unless exemptCurrent RN license in the state of ColoradoBasic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP) certification required upon hire or within 60 daysAdditional certifications (ACLS/NRP/PALS) as required by the unitPosition Details:
