Job Summary
Clinical care in the Cardiac Rehab program requires management of patients in the rehabilitation phase of their recovery from cardiac events or diseases which include, MI, PCI, valve surgery, CABG, heart failure, heart transplant, angina, and other complex varieties of heart disease. The program consists of monitored exercise, strength, yoga, meditation, and educational presentations. Responsibilities include monitoring telemetry and vital signs during exercise, group patient education, completing individualized treatment plans, physical assessment, and evaluations of patients. Must be comfortable interpreting telemetry rhythms, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and responding quickly to adverse events.
Qualifications
-Current MA RN license required
-BSN required
-Minimum of 3 years nursing experience required
-Cardiac telemetry experience required
-Previous ED or critical care experience required
-BLS & ACLS required
-Previous cardiac rehab experience required
