The role youll contribute:

The Diagnostic Lab Registered Nurse has been specially trained in cardiac/radiological procedures and techniques and is part of the cardiac/radiological team. Uses the nursing skills of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in their patient care delivery. Primary functions the delivery of competent, compassionate, and cost effective nursing care. To utilize the nursing process in the direction and administration of the medical and nursing plans of care. May also work in the Wellness Center where monitoring patient care and providing patient education is essential. Adheres to the Florida Hospital Corporate Compliance Plan and to all the rules and regulations of local, state and federal agencies, and to the standards of all accrediting bodies.

The value youll bring to the team:

Assists the radiologist, cardiologist, or attending physician performing sterile procedures (i.e., prep and draping patient, scrubbing, circulating during invasive procedures). Adheres to approve standards of sterile/aseptic technique utilizing equipment and supplies in a safe and prudent manner.

Performs medication reconciliation for all outpatients by reviewing home medications with patient prior to the administration of sedatives.

Monitors, recognizes and communicates the electrocardiographic/hemodynamic changes to the physician and appropriate staff members throughout the procedure and pre and post care.

Performs general noninvasive cardiology procedures; stress tests, EKGs, tilt table exams, holter scanning, etc.

Responsible for taking call on a rotating basis.

The expertise and experiences youll need to succeed:

Minimum Qualifications

Associates of Nursing

2 Years Work Experience

Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS)

Registered Nurse in the State of Florida

Must be able to work closely with co-workers and medical staff in a team environment.

Must be able to maneuver quickly in response to emergencies.

Preferred Qualifications

Certified Sedation Registered Nurse (CSRN)
