Three 12 hour shifts per week,** **Location: 601 E Rollins St. Orlando FL 32803** **The community youll be caring for:** + Located on a lush tropical campus, our flagship hospital, 1,368-bed AdventHealth Orlando + serves as the major tertiary facility for much of the Southeast, the Caribbean and South America + AdventHealth Orlando houses one of the largest Emergency Departments and largest cardiac catheterization labs in the country + We are already one of the busiest hospitals in the nation, providing service excellence to more than 32,000 inpatients and 125,000 outpatients each year **Unit Highlights** Located on the Command Center on 3 Morgan, Discharge Concierge Lounge on GT6, and satellite office in the Emergency Department, in 2021, the Capacity Operations team was created to optimize capacity management in order to positively impact patient safety and experience, as well as resource utilization. Serving as our home base, the Command Center is where our team comes together to work hard, strategize, and have plenty of fun. Our entire team gathers here for start of shift energizer and then disperses throughout the campus to help facilitate discharges on 3-4 units. We love being able to help patients transition home safely, and making it easy for our nursing teams. In addition to facilitating campus discharges, our team also supports the admission process. As an admission specialist, you help complete admission documentation, and identify opportunities to progress care and improve clinical outcomes. The admission specialists station in the Emergency Department to support the admission process for 90% of patients admitted in the ED. For our patients that are cleared to discharge and waiting on a ride, medications equipment, etc., our team tailors these services to meet each patients needs. In addition, we have a beautiful and comfortable lounge on GT6, where patients can comfortably wait for these final steps. Our team collaborates with inpatient units, our outpatient pharmacy, and Case Management to ensure a safe and successful discharge! **The role youll contribute:** The Registered Professional Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing and supervising direct and indirect total nursing care responsibilities to identified age specific groups. Utilizes the nursing process (assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating) in achieving the goals of the nursing department. Adheres to the AdventHealth Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies.
