Job Summary: The Burn RN will work in lock step with the burn providers, supporting wound management and dressing changes in the inpatient, outpatient, and OR setting based on operational needs and exemplifies the Upstate mission, vision, and values acting in accordance with Upstate policies and procedures. The RN will also provide patient and family wound care education, reducing readmission rates and the need for acute clinic visits. Minimum Qualifications: Possession of or eligibility for a license to practice as a registered nurse in New York State and two years of post-licensure clinical nursing experience in an acute care specialty area. Preferred Qualifications: BSN, experience as a charge nurse and/or clinical educator, demonstrated ability to work autonomously and independently.
