*Rotating Weekend & Holiday Schedule*
About The Unit:
Antepartum is a ten-bed unit specializing caring for patients with complications during pregnancy which include pre-eclampsia, preterm labor, hyperemesis, and other medical issues requiring hospitalization. The Antepartum unit is staffed with labor and delivery trained nurses. Nurses in this unit must be willing to float to the Labor and Delivery unit and receive orientation in both antepartum and labor and delivery.
Job Summary:
Registered nurse implements the nursing process for each assigned to his/her care regardless of age (i.e. infancy to geriatric) and is responsible for the patient’s care. The registered nurse promotes positive patient outcomes and the delivery of quality patient care. The registered nurse collaborates with the inter-professional team to enhance patient outcomes. The registered nurse serves as a role model through actively participating in the process of continuous professional development and lifelong learning.
Requirements:
Associate's degree in nursing required.
Active Kentucky RN License required.
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.
Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certification (NRP) required.
2 years of previous Labor & Delivery experience required.
