The Minnesota Sex Offender Program (MSOP) in St. Peter is now hiring a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner to provide direct professional medical services to civilly committed sexual offenders. This position will be primarily assigned to the MSOP St Peter and Community Preparation Services (CPS) program. St Peter is a secured residential setting for clients civilly committed. CPS is a less restrictive, unlocked residential setting on the grounds of the St. Peter campus located outside of the secure perimeter. This is typically for clients in the later stages of treatment.
As the Primary Care APRN you will function independently within the scope of practice as a provider of primary medical health care, collaborate with practitioners and other health professionals as well as provide education to staff and clients within the program. This position may involve telehealth and will require occasional travel to the MSOP Moose Lake campus.
The Minnesota Sex Offender Program (MSOP) provides comprehensive evaluation, treatment, and management of civilly committed sexual offenders. MSOP is a residential treatment facility for clients who have been court-ordered to receive ongoing treatment in a secure setting. Program staff provide comprehensive services including therapy, education programming, therapeutic recreation, vocational programming and volunteer services, health and wellness to clients in a therapeutic environment where safety and security are at the forefront of all campus activities.

**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Graduation from a program of study designed to prepare the individual for advanced practice as a nurse practitioner in family practice or internal medicine
+ Certification with a national professional nursing organization as a nurse practitioner or clinical nurse specialist
+ Minnesota licensure and current registration as a registered nurse
+ Authorization from the Minnesota Board of Nursing to prescribe drugs and therapeutic devices
+ Minimum of 5 years of primary care experience, with at least 3 of those years working in a primary care clinic
