The Forensic Mental Health Program provides mental health evaluation and treatment services to individuals diagnosed with a mental illness who present a risk to public safety. This is a safe and secure treatment environment. _The Registered Nurse Administrative Supervisor provides supervision in the coordination and delivery of safe quality nursing care to patients of the Forensic Mental Health Program (FMHP) ensuring individual patient holistic health needs are being met. The RNAS serves as a leader working in coordination with the Clinical Director to provide overall clinical direction to treatment units, addressing patient specific needs and providing day to day direction to all staff on assigned treatment units to ensure quality care is being provided. The incumbent must be able to perform the essential function of the job with or without reasonable accommodation._ He/she has the delegated authority and responsibility to assure that the following functions are addressed: + _To provide supervision and support to Registered Nurse Supervisors and Unit Supervisors in the work area._ + _To participate in establishing, reviewing and implementation of the nursing service delivery plan, standards of practice, quality of care and performance of nursing care within Forensic Services and Direct Care & Treatment._ + _To act as a liaison between other departments and service providers._ + _To participate in the recruitment and retention of nursing staff to meet the staffing needs of the FMHP._ **Minimum Qualifications** + Current licensure in Minnesota as a Registered Nurse AND + Bachelors of Nursing Degree AND + 2 years' experience as a Registered Nurse Supervisor OR 5 years charge nurse experience as a registered nurse AND + 2 years Registered Nurse experience in a field of specialty (i.e. mental health, addiction, long-term care, public health, etc.) [this experience can be obtained concurrently with the RN supervisor or charge RN experience] **Preferred Qualifications** + Master’s of Nursing Degree + Experience working in a mental health hospital setting + Licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse + Our employees are dedicated to ensuring cultural responsiveness.
