About the Role
We are seeking a Registered Nurse to work within our Supported Disability Accommodation, you will contribute to the wellbeing of individuals with physical, developmental, or cognitive disabilities. As we provide 24/7 care, we require our team to be available for various shifts including morning and afternoon as well as weekends. Your leadership and clinical skills will be an asset to the team. In this role you have a variety of responsibilities including but not limited to:
Conduct thorough assessment, care planning, direct nursing care and review cares using biopsychosocial model to optimise customers independence.Provide workplace coaching, guidance and supervision to personnel Carers, Assistant in Nursing and Enrolled Nurses, and act as a role model for Practice and professional conduct.Ensure all Workplace Health and Safety, infection control, safe work practices are always followed.Provide written and verbal repots on the social, physical and emotional well-being of residents to the Clinical Nurses/ Assistant Manager and collaborate with them to achieve quality outcomes for residents.About You
We are seeking applicants with the following:
Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation AgencyDemonstrated proficiency in clinical nursing practice with an understanding of contemporary nursing theory and care documentation models.Generalist registered nursing experience with knowledge of aged care – Highly desirable.Ability to rapidly acquire a sound understanding of appropriate aged care legislated standards and incorporate into daily practice.Relevant probity checks as required by legislation and WMQ policy.Proof of Vaccination Status as required by Legislation, Health Directives or WMQL Policy throughout employment and prior to commencement.Current Driver’s Licence and willingness to drive in the course of work.Why WMQ?
