**Description:**
At **Trinity Health Of New England** our **Registered Nurse RN** provides quality care primarily for adult patients before and after surgical procedures. Coordinating healthcare plans with the team, administering medications, as well as educating patients on their surgical procedures. **Key Responsibilities:**
+ **Ongoing Patient Assessment:** Perform continuous evaluations of patient conditions, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications and treatments, and documenting clinical progress throughout the hospital stay.
+ **Patient & Family Education:** Provide clear, compassionate education to patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and self-care strategies to support recovery and long-term health.
+ **Interdisciplinary Collaboration:** Partner closely with physicians and the broader healthcare team to monitor neurological status, cognitive and motor functions, sensory responses, and coordinate therapeutic interventions.
**Qualifications:**
**Education:**
+ Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program (required)
+ Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred)
**Licensure:**
+ Current and valid **Registered Nurse (RN)** license in the state of **Connecticut and/or Massachusetts** (depending of job site)
**Experience:**
+ Minimum of **1 year** of experience in a **Medical-Surgical or Acute Inpatient** setting
**Certifications:**
+ **Basic Life Support (BLS)** or **CPR** certification from the **American Heart Association** or **American Red Cross** (required)
**Schedule:**
+ **Full-time, Part-time hours**
+ **Day & Night Shifts (12-hour shifts)**
+ **Includes every other weekend and holiday rotation**
