Position Overview
We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to lead clinical care efforts and support our multidisciplinary team. This role combines hands-on patient care with team leadership, education, and collaboration to ensure the highest quality outcomes for our patients.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise the clinical work of Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Medical Assistants, and Clinical Assistants.Educate patients and their families with personalized guidance tailored to age, diagnosis, and comprehension level.Provide general nursing care and collaborate closely with healthcare providers and team members.Support providers during patient visits by rooming patients, conducting interviews, recording vital signs, and updating electronic medical records.Keep exam rooms clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies and equipment.Perform clinical tests (e.g., blood glucose, rapid HIV, flu, strep) and ensure accurate specimen labeling.Monitor and document changes in patient conditions and report findings as needed.Administer medications and vaccines in accordance with the six rights of medication administration.Start IVs and administer prescribed medications.Assist with procedures, including pre- and post-care, Time Out participation, and intra-procedural support.Follow infection control standards and apply aseptic techniques as appropriate.Handle patient phone calls and follow up as directed by providers.Essential SkillsStrong patient care and triage abilitiesAppointment scheduling and insurance verification experienceProficiency in medical terminology and EMR systems (Athena, Epic)Knowledge of healthcare practices and case managementQualificationsAssociate’s degree or completion of an accredited nursing programCurrent RN license in the state of IowaBLS certification for healthcare providersPreferred: Experience with electronic medical records (EMR)
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $54080.00 - $93600.00/yr.
