No County Monroe Street Address Rochester Psychiatric Center 1111 Elmwood Avenue City Rochester State NY Zip Code 14620 Duties Description As a Registered Nurse 3 (Psychiatric Educator), you would:• Plan, design, and develop orientation and training curriculum for nursing staff; • Provide on the job training• Clinically supervise staff in the provision of nursing services • Evaluate training needs and modify programs to ensure effective service delivery • Collaborate with nursing management and multidisciplinary treatment teams to develop and revise policies and procedures and ensure staff competencies are current and in compliance with nursing standards Minimum Qualifications Candidates from outside or within State Service can be considered for hire under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement – Statewide (NY HELPS) program if they are: • Licensed and currently registered as a registered professional nurse in New York State; and• Bachelor’s degree in nursing; and• 2 years of post-licensure nursing experience; 1 year must be clinical nursing experience working with individuals, at least 50% of whom have been diagnosed with mental illness, addiction, or substance use disorder and 1 year must be as a professional nurse educator conducting nurse education and trainingSubstitution: Master’s degree in nursing or higher may substitute for the one year of nurse educator experience.OR Candidates within State Service can be considered transfer to a competitive class position if they have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law. The posted job rate is the sum of the statutory job rate ($104, 230) and Geographic Pay Differential ($20,000).Additional compensation may apply based on shift assignment. 7% shift differential for evening shift. 10% shift differential for night shift.Notes:1.
