UPMC Presbyterian, a Magnet designated hospital, is currently hiring a Full-Time Registered Nurse for our Rapid Response Team!

About the Position:
The Rapid Response Team is staffed by highly experienced ICU nurses with diverse specialty backgrounds who use technology, innovation, and education to improve critical care and quality outcomes. The RRT nurse responds to and leads clinical bedside emergencies throughout the campus. Partner with the Resource Intensivist or designee to optimize code response in terms of efficiency and to decrease incidence of inpatient hospital mortality. Leads debriefing with staff after a code is called. Mentors staff needing guidance in nursing care related to ACLS and the first five minutes. Provides follow up with patients transferred out of the ICU to reduce unplanned returns to the ICU. Serve as members of the Presbyterian and Montefiore OB resource nursing group. The RRT nurse also streamlines the post-mortem process. The RRT nurse may complete various audits of unit practices and compliance measures. Performs other duties as assigned within the scope of nursing practice.
