Registered Nurse, RN (PRN) - GI Lab _Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together_ Work location: Texas Health Frisco, 12400 N Dallas Parkway TX 75033 Work hours: PRN; Monday-Friday 0800-1630 with on call requirements; Must be available to work 6 shifts per six week schedule and 2 shift per six week schedule on weekends GI Lab highlights: o Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team. o The professional nurse exhibits understanding of basic human needs. o The professional nurse demonstrates recognition and understanding of patient's affiliations. Here's What You Need * Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program Or Diploma Nurse Program * BSN preferred * 1 Year of experience as a registered nurse in an acute care setting required * GI experience preferred * 1 Year of procedural, ER, outpatient experience preferred * RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Req And * BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req And * ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days Req And * PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support 90 Days Req What You Will Do * Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process * Assesses the patient * Plans the care of the patient * Intervenes as appropriate * Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions * Incorporates age-specific safety/infection control measures into patient care. * Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant other's need for information * Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out-of-hospital transfers.
