**Registered Nurse (RN) – Surgery**

**Work location:** Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231
**Work hours:** Full Time- 40 Hours; Days Monday-Friday 0630-1500- Rotating weekend and holiday on call required
**Surgery highlights:**
· Texas Health Dallas has 24 Main OR Suites, 2 Endovascular rooms, 3 Robot rooms, 2 Heart rooms.
· Fast Paced, High Volume of Open Vascular, Endo Vascular, and Hearts
· Level I Trauma facility. Strong Minimally Invasive CV program
**Here’s What You Need**
· Associate degree Nursing required or Nursing Diploma
· BSN (Preferred)
· 1 Year Experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program (Required)
· General, Trauma, Robotic Operating Room RN experience (Preferred)
· RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire (Required upon hire)
· BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required upon hire)
· ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire (Preferred)
**What You Will Do**
· Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
· OR RN Surgery Circulator duties and skills
· Assesses the patient
· Plans the care of the patient
· Intervenes as appropriate
· Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
· Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
· Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
· Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
