Griffin Health is currently seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Outpatient Psychiatry team on a per diem basis. This position supports our team of APRNs and MDs in delivering coordinated, high-quality mental health care in a collaborative setting.
Position Summary:
As an RN in the Outpatient Psychiatry department, you will play a key role in providing direct clinical and administrative support to providers, ensuring continuity of care and timely coordination of services for our psychiatric patient population.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist psychiatric APRNs and MDs with daily clinical operations
Manage and process prescription refill requests
Coordinate care with primary care and specialty medical providers
Administer long-acting antipsychotic injections in accordance with protocols
Facilitate and complete prior authorizations for psychiatric medications
Support patient panel management, particularly for individuals receiving Suboxone treatment for opioid use disorder
Qualifications:
Current RN licensure in the State of Connecticut
Experience in psychiatric or behavioral health nursing preferred
Familiarity with psychotropic medications, substance use treatment, and electronic medical records
Strong organizational, communication, and care coordination skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced outpatient setting
