Registered Nuclear Med Technologist

The 4 site Nuclear Medicine Department supports a diverse patient population providing service to all clinical programs with an emphasis on Cardiac, Oncology, Neuro and Vascular.

Working closely with other members of the department, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs clinical imaging procedures while maintaining an environment which is patient focused. Other responsibilities include: ensuring all procedures are performed according to established protocols and standards of practice and in a safe and compliant manner according to CNSC regulations; participating in various training programs and research studies; and contributing to an environment which supports clinical excellence and continuous learning.

1. Graduate of an approved training program in Nuclear Medicine Technology
2. Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation Technologist of Ontario
3. Basic Life Support Certificate (must be current or acquired within 3 months)
4. Ability and willingness to work with and teach students
5. Demonstrated ability to work responsibly in a team environment
6. Demonstrated effective communication, organization and interpersonal skills
7. Effective problem solving skills, critical thinking and the ability to prioritize in a fast paced clinical environment
8. Evidence of participation in on going education professional development
9. Membership in the CAMRT/OAMRT preferred
