Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related field, or equivalent clinical experience combined with MLT education for MT certification (equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree). Certification: American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) certification. Training: MT clinical training is required. Experience: 1-2 years of clinical experience in a related field.Job Overview:
The Registered Medical Technologist is a detail-oriented and skilled laboratory professional to perform a wide range of diagnostic testing and ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results. The candidate will communicate findings to physicians, pathologists, and other healthcare providers and may work in various specialized laboratory areas, including Transfusion Services, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology/Immunology, Toxicology, Special Chemistry, and Fibrinolysis. This role involves operating advanced laboratory equipment, utilizing laboratory computer systems, and maintaining strict compliance with established policies and protocols. While supervised by a general supervisor, the position demands an independent approach to specimen processing, test execution, and result reporting.
