Registered EEG Technician Work location: Sid Richardson Pavilion: 700 5th Ave., Ft. Worth, TX 76104 Work hours: Full-time (36 hours); 7PM-7AM 3x12 hour night shifts rotating schedule including weekends and holidays Department Highlights: We are a full-sevice neurodiagnostics unit. We provide EEG, EMU/Continuous monitoring and Neuro Intro-operative monitoring. We are an ABRET credentialed lab in NIOM. We currently have 13 fully trained technicians. We have a 4-bed EMU. **What you will do** Performs appropriate EEG & EMU Testing for neonatal through geriatric age patients. Applies various recording/monitoring electrodes to patient and accurately performs studies or monitoring on inpatients and outpatients. Accurately places recording electrodes to patient's head and chest. Ensures record keeping and documentation. Management of physician orders. Accurate, timely, legible and complete documentation of all activities. Collaborates with physicians regarding immediate live results to ensure timely documentation. Other Duties as assigned Serves as back-up support to department structure such as covering the front desk. **Here's What You Need** **Education** H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Registered EEG Required Or Associate's Degree healthcare related field Required Or Other EEG accredited certificate program Required **Experience** 1 Year Healthcare related experience Preferred **Licenses and Certifications** BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required And R.EEG T. - Registered EEG Technician required if no Associates degree Upon Hire Required **Skills** Must be able to speak, read and write English with a high level of understanding. Must be able to see the computer read outs for EEG/EMG tracings and computers used in the provision services. Entity Highlights: Texas Health Ft.
