**Description:**
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate **Registered Dietitian** to join our team as a **Diabetes Educator** where you'll play a key role in helping patients build the knowledge and confidence to manage their condition effectively. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in both clinical and community settings and is committed to improving health outcomes through compassionate, evidence-based care.
**What You’ll Do:**
+ Provide individualized and group diabetes education to patients of all ages, incorporating cultural preferences and learning styles.
+ Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored self-management plans.
+ Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support both inpatient and outpatient diabetes care programs.
+ Identify barriers to effective self-care and help patients develop problem-solving and coping strategies.
+ Monitor patient progress and adjust education plans as needed.
+ Participate in quality improvement initiatives and community outreach events.
+ Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to program evaluation and development.
**What You Bring:**
+ Registered Dietitian (RD)credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) —required
+ State licensurein the primary work location —required
+ Bachelor’s degreein Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field —required
+ Five years of clinical dietetics experience
+ Certification as aCertified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES)or willingness to obtain within 2 years of hire
+ Experience in inpatient and/or outpatient diabetes education — preferred

+ Strong communication and teaching abilities
+ Ability to assess and adapt to individual learning needs
+ Knowledge of diabetes management, nutrition therapy, and behavior change strategies
+ Collaborative, team-oriented mindset
+ Commitment to ongoing professional development (minimum 15 hours of diabetes-related continuing education annually)
