The Eastern Louisiana Mental Health System (ELMHS) provides comprehensive mental health services for adults, including evaluation, treatment, habilitation, and consultation. Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
In this role, you will:
+ Serve as a lead worker and specialist in initiating and implementing the nutrition care process on all patients admitted to the ELMHS by determining level of nutrition risk or compromise and interventions needed to maintain or improve nutritional status.
+ Act as an administrative specialist, independently managing inventory control and procedures when calculating food costs and allotment.
+ Develop and implement medical nutrition therapy care plans for patients identified to be moderately or severely nutritionally compromised.
+ Conduct quarterly follow-up and provide documentation in regards to patient progress and compliance with the nutrition care plan.
+ Participates in Nutritional Services Quality Improvement Programming and serves as primary educator for formal and informal education provided to patients, staff, and Dietetic Interns.
+ Provide in-service training to food service personnel, perform tray audits, and monitor food preparation and menu accuracy.
+ Maintain a current and unencumbered driver’s license

Compensation: This position has an SER of
+ $21.01 an hour or $1680.80 bi-weekly for Registered Dietitian Applicant
+ $22.48 an hour or $1798.40 bi-weekly for a Registered Dietitian
+ $24.04 an hour or $1923.20 bi-weekly for a Registered Dietitian Specialist
