Job Posting Title: Registered Dietitian Location: Dallas - Hospital Additional Posting Details: Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. Rotational on-call weekends and holidays Job Description: Duties/Responsibilities + Provide total nutrition care for patients at Scottish Rite for Children + Provide for all aspects of nutrition care including screening, assessment, planning, and implementation of the nutrition care plan + Responsible for monitoring the effectiveness of the nutrition intervention and communicating to all members of the health care team, in verbal and written form + Work with dietetic interns and students to ensure effective education of these future professionals + Involved in the hospital performance improvement program to ensure the objectives of the Dietary department are met on a continuing basis + Demonstrate knowledge of child development basics for the care of infants, toddlers, pre-school, school-age children and adolescents Required Skills/Abilities + Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Food and Nutrition required, Master's degree preferred + Must be registered by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and licensed by the State of Texas + 2 years of experience in clinical nutrition practice, preferably in a pediatric facility desired + Bi-lingual in Spanish is beneficial At Scottish Rite for Children, we work together with the common goal of helping give children back their childhood.
