Job Description

General Position Description:

Responsible for the Registrar duties in the Miami Campus. This position involves a high degree of confidential information and the involvement with the student’s community.

Duties and Responsibilities:

o Accountable for contributing to the accuracy, reliability, timeliness, retrieval, reporting and security of information about academic achievement of the College’s students through effective performance in the essential functional areas:

Student registration Comprehensive student records Reporting of student information Supervision of staff

o Provide direct assistance and advice to the Registrar regarding designated areas within Registration and Records.

o Assist with the management of designated areas; ensure adherence to state, federal and University regulations and guidelines as appropriated for assigned areas; and assist with the development of new or modified policies and procedures for assigned areas.

o Counsel students on academic, registration and records problems for assigned areas; discuss problems with appropriate academic faculty or administrators and seek solutions within the framework of established policies and regulations.

o Assist with or supervise the input/update of student data and academic records.

o Certify undergraduate students for graduation, as well as reviewing all certification of graduation, receive students in graduate programs to ensure that all degree requirements, as stated in the catalogs, have been completed.

o Daily attendance, general student services and orientations, coordination with other employees and offices.

o Provide services and orientation to Campus Students regarding the Registrar policies and procedures.

o Performs and coordinates the office and administrative and clerical duties as required for the position.

o Organizes, maintains and acts as custodian of the Registrar documents, records and electronic files.

o Responsible for keeping supervisors informed about the activities related to each reporting area.

o Coordinate and follow up in students’ issues, type and prepare for distribution letters, memos and reports required by supervisors.

o Assists the Campus Director and Staff with preparations and arrangements for enrollments and any other special event.

o Will be required to deal with a variety of situations requiring tact, judgment and poise.

o Perform other related duties as designated by the Campus Director & Registrar Office Director.

Education and Experience:

· Bachelors in business administration from an accredited institution.

· One year of experience in the related area
