Regional Senior Manager - Internal Audit Services

What is the opportunity?

We are looking for an outstanding professional to join our Internal Audit (IA) team in RBC Caribbean as a Regional Senior Manager.  In this role, you will assess the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management practices, corporate governance processes, and fraud prevention and detection, in the Audit Platform.   You will also provide insights to the Audit Group, and act as a trusted advisor to the business and develop capability of team use of analytic tools to widen scope of assurance.

What will you do?

Provide input into development of annual audit plan for supported business; and contribute to the development of multi-year approach to audit of assigned portfolioSupport Regional Market Advisory Committee and Regional Audit Committee Reporting QuarterlyLead the oversight & execution of a significant portfolio of audits in the annual plan and review audit reports drafted by the senior manager for submission to the Senior Director and challenge senior manager audit findingsLead the oversight and execution of continuous risk assessment and adjust plans as necessary and provide effective challenge on the effectiveness of risk mitigation measures with stakeholdersEvaluate and escalate opportunities for internal control improvementsWork cross functionally, contribute, lead, plan and effectively manage integrated audits with specialized audit teamsLeverage data analysis and insights across the enterprise, and across all stages of the audit lifecycle, to apply to audit portfolioAbility to work in a dynamically changing environment and lead people through modernization from traditional auditing to focus on data analyticsProvide guidance to Senior Director and Senior Manager to ensure that there are sufficient engagement resources to meet annual audit plan for the Portfolio

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

Undergraduate/Postgraduate Degree in Business/Finance/Information Technology.Relevant professional designation (e.g. CIA, ACCA or equivalent). Any additional relevant professional designation considered as an advantage.10+ years depth and breadth of auditing Internal/External experience10+ years in banking/financial services sectors across Credit, Operations and functionsAbility to assess the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management practices, corporate governance processes, and fraud prevention and detection, in the Audit Platform and provide insights to the Audit GroupOperate in a global resource model assigned to a home platform but capable of working in any RBC platform as part of a pool of resources

Nice-to-have

Practical working knowledge of Data Analytics for assurance and advisory activities.
