We are actively seeking a Regional Senior Accountant for our Indianapolis IN office.

The Regional Senior Accountant serves as a vital business consultant to our operating units, acting as the liaison between the accounting and operating functions at the regional level. Each operating unit utilizes the regional team in a different capacity. The tasks listed below are an extensive list of what we offer as support to each operating unit. What we complete for them is based on the operating unit’s needs, and we adjust our support accordingly. The Regional Senior Accountant will support the Regional Controller with any additional tasks as needed. Month End Close:

Complete and Support the month end checklist for operating units:

Record all General Ledger Adjustments on monthly basis (depreciation, prepaid, etc.)Record all Insurance EntriesRecord Rebate TransactionsRecord Intercompany TransactionsRecord Bad Debt ReserveReview Indirect and SGA Accounts for Unusual/Excessive ActivityAttend monthly CTC (cost to complete) meetings record any project adjustments that are needed processing changes before month end.  Prepare and record all project related accruals (Service Revenue Accrual, Uninstall Material, Production Revenue Accrual, etc.)  Record Over/Under Billed and Over/Under AbsorbedRun the WIP (contract profit report) and Balance to the GL and reconcile with regional controller.Adhere to all Appropriate Closing Dates to ensure that the approved control procedures are being followed.Performs account reconciliations. Manage the balance of all GL accounts – AR, AP, Other Receivables, etc.Reconcile Project Costs to General Ledger Audit & Compliance:Responsible for tax compliance with all federal, state, local, payroll and other applicable taxes.Each operating unit processes their own inhouse payroll.Assists with developing and implementing inventory control procedures.  Manage Fixed Assets to track additions and disposals.Assist with the Regional Operating Lease TrackerAssist with the Regional Vehicle & Trailer TrackerMonitor and communicate company charge accounts activity (credit cards, fuel cards, store accounts, etc.) Assist Regional and Corporate offices with internal and/or IRS procedure, and accounting audits.Training & Support:Train and Support the operating unit Accounting StaffSupport the Checklists & TrackersPrepares bi-monthly forecastBackup to Regional Staff and operating unit staffSupport the Regional Controller on acquisitions Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in AccountingJob costing experience working in a Construction environment or manufacturing accounting experience preferredStrong understanding of in-house payroll process and payroll tax reportingStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to lead and motivate othersExperience managing change across an organizationStrong analytical skillsWillingness to travel Tecta offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, paid holidays, etc.
