Regional Sales Manager – Refinish Accessories

As sales leader within an assigned geographic market, the Regional Sales Manager drives sustainable and profitable volume growth in the Economy Segment which includes paint (all coatings), protective coatings, fillers, aerosol, putties, glazes and adjacencies.  Achieving our organizational goals and ensuring our long-term success by driving a team of Product Specialists and Market Sales Specialists. Achieve distribution revenue targets and net gains across customer accounts within an annual budget by product segment. Lead and support key initiatives for growth and execution.

Please note – This is a remote-based role covering the Atlantic region which extends from Maine to South Carolina and requires the willingness and ability to travel up to 50%. This role is not eligible for relocation nor immigration assistance. It is expected that you reside within the assigned region and are legally qualified to work in the U.S. without restriction or sponsorship.

This role reports to the Regional Sales Director with peers as Market Sales Managers.

Key Responsibilities:

Set the direction, building a high-performing team, and make sure sales targets are hit.Provide strategic direction and foster a culture of excellence, to create a competitive edge for your organization in the marketplace.Always demonstrate and drive safety behavior, including emphasis on the safe application of products and the use of personal protective equipment while acting as an example for customers and the team.Manage overall selling expense within designated budget.Remain current with industry trends and association activities.Demonstrate teamwork with peers and other resources to meet customer needs and document progression using SFDC.Maintain a flexible schedule and willingness to travel.Commit to excellence and motivate the team to strive for top performance (in disciplined organization of activity, follow-through on promised actions, and coaching for continuous improvement).Foster collaboration through collaborative approach, promote a unified strategy, drive better outcomes, and demonstrate a commitment to a ONE Axalta mindset.Implement disciplined standards of work plus consistent and effective time management.Sets performance expectations to hold people accountable.Uses sales tools (in particular, SFDC) to provide support on standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and learn resources to operate efficiently.Provide coaching and real-time feedback to the team.

Job Requirements:

Strong people leader in a competitive environment.Ability to build and share a vision and motivate a team.Minimum 10 years of experience working in the automotive aftermarket/collision industry with 5+ years leadership background in the automotive industry.Technical Expertise with automotive paint and collision repair products including primers, base coats, clear coats and other related materials.Ability to report, document, create and build relationship with customers and industry partners.Willing to continuously learn.Is an active listener and can interpret customer needs.Competent computer skills, proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Salesforce.Must be willing and able to travel up to 50% of the time.Valid Driver’s License required.
