Regional Sales Manager (Central Region)

This role involves overseeing technical sales support, promoting products, planning and executing sales activities, and managing relationships with manufacturer rep firms to ensure efficient operations. The manager will play a key role in identifying growth opportunities, mentoring rep firms, and aligning regional goals with company objectives to ensure continued success. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:** + **Sales Leadership:** Develop and execute comprehensive regional sales strategies to achieve or surpass sales targets and market growth goals. + **Customer Engagement:** Cultivate strong relationships with key customers, distributors to ensure high satisfaction and long-term loyalty. + **Team Management:** Lead, mentor, and support a network of independent representative organizations to optimize performance and results. + **Cross-Functional Collaboration:** Partner with Marketing, Engineering, Application Engineering, and Operations to align efforts and deliver outstanding customer service and product solutions. + **Market Strategy & Analysis:** Track market dynamics, customer needs, competitive landscape, and emerging RF Microwave technologies to identify opportunities and mitigate risks. + **Performance & Pipeline Management:** Leverage CRM systems to monitor pipeline activity, track customer engagement, implement sales processes, and provide insights through forecasting and performance metrics. + **Organizational Leadership:** Promote a high-performance culture focused on collaboration, innovation, ethical conduct, and customer success in alignment with Teledyne Storm Microwave values. + **Regional Strategy Execution:** Develop and execute a strategic plan for the assigned region, aligning with company profitability and growth objectives. + **Rep Firm Oversight:** Evaluate regional rep firms on performance, market alignment, and activity. Recommend changes or additions to optimize market coverage to the Director of Sales & Marketing. + **Territory & Goal Setting:** Define sales territories, set annual revenue targets, and establish objectives for new applications and business growth. + **Reporting:** Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports covering customer interactions, pipeline activity, new developments, and performance against regional goals. + **Client Presentations & Support:** Deliver impactful presentations to key customers, and support reps in relationship management and deal negotiations. **Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree in **Engineering** , **Business** , or a related field + MBA preferred + Minimum of **7 years’ experience** in **RF Microwave cable assembly and connector sales** + Proven **supervisory and leadership experience** in managing sales teams and independent rep firms. + In-depth knowledge of **RF Microwave cable and connector technologies** as applied to: + **Military/Defense sectors** + **Test & Measurement markets** + **Industry trends and evolving customer requirements** + Demonstrated ability to turn market insights into **strategic and actionable sales initiatives** + Strong history of: + Leading **high-performing representative sales teams** + Managing **strategic accounts** + Driving **sustained long term revenue growth** + Skilled in developing and executing **sales strategies** focused on **long-term profitability** + Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to foster partnerships and influence stakeholders at all levels + Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities + Proficiency with **CRM tools** (e.g., Salesforce), **Microsoft Office Suite** , and **sales analytics platforms** + Willingness to travel up to **50% within the region** Due to the type of work at the facility and certain access restrictions, successful applicants must be a "US Person" (US Citizens, US Nationals, lawful permanent residents, asylees or refugees).
