Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Regional Sales Manager, Southeast Asia to join the Data, Power, & Control - Starline Team in Tuas, Singapore. Increase sales, revenue and profitability through the development and implementation of international growth strategies, including channel, vertical market and target account establishment for South East Asia. Regional boundaries may change in the future as deemed necessary by the company. In this position, the incumbent will increase sales in the assigned region by managing sales representatives, developing relationships with end users and key influencers, such as consulting engineering firms and contractors, and promoting products at tradeshows and industry events.
Additionally, the incumbent will be responsible for developing an annual regional sales plan and achieving the objectives of the plan. There may be additional duties assigned in conjunction with business needs.
What Will You Do?
Achievement of the region’s annual revenue objectiveManage sales channel with existing Starline sales representatives, resellers, as well as direct salespeople in the assigned region and recommend changes as required to meet sales objectives. This may include adding or changing representatives and channel partners, and training of these partnersDevelop and implement target market and account strategy for SEA regionNegotiate contracts and assist in their administration Create proposals, sales letters and prepare and deliver presentationsMonitor market trends and identify impact on product development and suggest new products and services to promote and market Identify and recommend marketing activities such as trade shows and promotional programs. Develop and implement tactical business plans Manage opportunities, leads and other sales activities through SalesforcePromote the Company’s image, reputation, and brand identity by nurturing, sustaining and extending strategic relationships and building positive working relationships with current and prospective strategic partners/alliances. Develop and maintain communications in a cooperative and professional manner with all levels of staff and customersCoordinate sales operations with all other departments/divisions of the Company. Assists with Import and exportation requirementsAssists with trade account receivables and coordinate with Credit Manager and accounts receivablesMaintain a professional appearance and demeanorMaintain a high level of integrity Represent the company at industry trade shows and eventsPerform other tasks as assigned by supervisor QualificationsEducation:
BEng/BS/BA degree (Engineering degree is an advantage) 6-8 years sales experience required, preferably in the Datacentre industry and specifying engineering community (busbar experience is an advantage)6-8 years experience in developing and executing strategic and tactical sales plansHas existing network of Japan mission critical markets customers and potential representativesSuccessful track record of sales or equivalent experience in strategic company markets (Data Centre and mission critical industries – Industrial, BFSI)Experience in developing and executing strategic and tactical sales plansSuperior organizational, interpersonal, communication, negotiation and operations skillsAbility to present and interact with all levels of management Ability to be self-driven, self-motivated, independent and a team playerAbility to travel 50%+ of the timeSkills/Knowledge/Abilities:
Technical knowledge necessary to sell to the data center and other related industry clientsImpressive presentation skills including ability to prepare and deliver presentations to key decision makers at all levels within target organizationsComputer literate and proficient in PowerPoint, Microsoft Office programs, Salesforce and other programs necessary to fulfill job requirementsHigh level of accuracy and detail orientedSelf-motivated, driven and highly independentSuperior organizational, interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills Excellent written and verbal communicationPersonality, Behaviour and Traits Expected of This Position
