The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for supporting strategies developed at a national business unit level that promote growth within the Companion Animal Business Unit with nominated key customers.
What You Will Do
Sales Team Leadership
Drive team performance to meet business priorities (QLD + NT territories)Conduct regular reviews and provide feedbackManage territory planning and marketing campaignsDefine and review team account and geographic responsibilitiesCollaborate with national teams to track sales metrics and ensure best practicesFoster a sales-driven culture with ongoing training and coachingDevelop team skills to optimise territory management and customer targetingMentor team members and manage daily operations including expenses and leavePromote safe driving and vehicle managementAccount Management
Lead servicing of key Veterinary Wholesale accounts and buying groupsConduct business reviews and develop strategic plans with sales, marketing, and technical teamsEngage key account influencers to deliver outcomesPrioritise accounts and strategies with National Sales & Key Accounts LeadUse sales and market data to drive profitable customer strategiesSales & Financial Performance
Meet sales budgets, market share, and team metricsEnsure compliance with rebate, discount, and pricing policiesMaximise profits from new business opportunitiesImplement customer trading terms promptlyMarket & Competitor Insights
Monitor and report on market trends and competitor activityProvide strategic recommendations to grow market shareMarket Dynamics & Competitor Activities

Relevant tertiary qualifications (Life Science and/or Business preferred)Extensive customer-facing sales experience, ideally in Animal HealthProven success managing sales teams and delivering on KPIs and budgetsStrong business acumen with budget management and financial expertiseSolid experience in related markets or industriesDemonstrated sales management and/or marketing skillsExcellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skillsEffective stakeholder communication and collaboration abilitiesStrong leadership, time management, goal setting, and budgeting skillsAdvanced negotiation, influencing, leadership, and staff motivation capabilitiesStrategic thinker with medium to long-term focusSkilled in data analysis and logical problem solvingComfortable leading and collaborating remotelyWell-organised and responsive to customer needsCollaborative team player with inclusive behavioursSelf-starter with initiative, able to work independentlyResilient under pressure and deadline-drivenConfident day-to-day decision makerCommitted to corporate policies and processesWhat You Can Expect
