Job Title: Regional Sales Manager, Greece & Cyprus
Reports to: Sales Director, Data Protection, AT & CEE & CIS
Organizational Unit: Thales CDI, CSP, Data & Application Security
Location: Athens or Remote in Greece; Hybrid model. The incumbent will travel extensively to meet with customers, resellers and distributors.
Key Objectives:
• Identify and develop new business opportunities with existing and new key accounts and indirect channel accounts.
• Plan and manage local Thales Data Security and Application Security sales related activities.
Qualification/ Skills/ Experience Requirements:
• Educated to degree level with a business or IT related qualification.
• Knowledge of underlying security technologies.
• Experienced in selling IT security solutions to large enterprises.
• Existing network with CISO’s of Top 100 companies from Greece and Cyprus. Especially in the financial sector.
• Technically proficient in software and hardware IT.
• Ability to communicate sales and marketing strategy.
• Ability to articulate the Thales message to a wide variety of audiences.
• A proven structured approach / methodology to organise, manage and execute a detailed Sales Territory Plan.
• Greek speaking and fluent in English.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include, but are not limited, to, the following:
• Plan and prioritize personal sales activities and customer/prospect contact towards maximizing sales and achieving agreed business aims - especially managing personal time and productivity.
• Investigate, generate, cultivate and manage sales opportunities.
• Establish strong, long-term strategic relationships with key customers and indirect accounts in Greece and Cyprus.
• Manage product/service mix, pricing and margins according to agreed aims.
• Maintain and develop existing and new customers as well as indirect accounts through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods.
• Use customer and prospect contact activities tools and systems, and maintain all relevant information held in these systems at all times.
• Maintain and develop a computerized customer and prospect database (CRM).
• Develop ideas for marketing activities together with distributors and partners in order to attract new customers.
• Respond to and follow up sales enquiries by email, telephone, and personal visits and internal order-processing staff.
• Monitor and report on activities and provide relevant management information.
• Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business and organizational development.
• Attend training to develop relevant knowledge and skills.
• Regular reporting and forecasting.
