This position is responsible to lead the AMEA Region procurement category of CMI, Data & Analytics, PIPD, External Sales and Events for Opella. You will also be the Japan contact across marketing & sales categories to provide support.
The key focus of this role is to create, support, and influence procurement category strategies, ideate and drive key projects/initiatives jointly with the business, drive execution via global, regional and local teams to ensure Opella delivers its priorities/objectives. The role requires demonstrating strong partnering internally with category leaders in the AMEA CMI team, sustainability teams and externally with regional suppliers. It also requires working with the global teams to ensure global category strategies can be implemented while also maintaining local solutions where needed.

**Main responsibilities:**
**Strategy**
+ Development and execution of competitive, innovative long term procurement category strategies that are:
+ based on market intelligence: assessing risks and opportunities.
+ collaboratively built, full aligned with the business delivering cost reduction and significant value to business.
+ Drive the development of new market innovation opportunities (e.g. new suppliers, new digital tools in the categories).
+ Integrate sustainability into projects and business decisions.
**Leadership**
+ Partner with the sustainability team to build a plan to deliver against B-Corp commitments
+ Partner with the business stakeholders to drive innovation, challenge current and develop new initiatives
**Contract & Relationship Management**
+ Oversee supplier relationship management and negotiations for strategic suppliers
+ Drive supplier innovation program for the category in the region
+ Oversee KPIs and monitor supplier performance. Continuously drive for improvements in performance of the suppliers in all relevant areas of service level, costs, delivery, quality
**Business Collaboration & Partnering**
+ Business partner role to the Regional Growth hub and CMI/Data teams and
+ Partner with the sustainability team to build a plan to deliver against B-Corp commitments
+ Facilitate and build collaborative Business Partnering across the Business Unit internally and across the supplier network for the category

A degree in business Finance, Procurement/ Business Operations, Marketing.
+ Strong business and financial acumen

+ Highly effective written and verbal communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
+ The ability to hit the ground running, operate autonomously with a high level of drive and energy
**Languages:**
The ideal candidate for this position must be fluent in both English and Japanese, as they will be required to communicate effectively in a business setting in Japan and with regional stakeholders and participate in global business interactions. Additionally, this role will need excellent ability to communicate orally and in writing in both Japanese and English.
