This position provides leadership and direction to ensure safe, efficient, therapeutic, and ethical patient care, teammate efficiency and productivity, and positive teammate relations.
Essential Functions:
Manages and oversees the DaVita IKC program in designated market or geography
Ensures compliance to all applicable regulations and DaVita policies
Monitors risk management and quality assurance compliance
Achieves financial and quality goals for membership enrollment in DaVita IKC programs
Measures patient care outcomes in the program
Identifies metric-driven clinical opportunities and drives process improvement for individuals and teams
Builds effective relationships with internal and external clients
Coordinates activities with DaVita IKC Management Team, Regional Medical Directors, and cross-functional departments, and others as needed
Maintains and manages relationships with key constituencies and stakeholders, including providers and health plans
Develops and maintains relationships with CMS and other entities as needed
Accountable for day-to-day supervision to the RN Team and Regional Operations Supervisor (ROS)
Provide work direction, ultimately responsible for outcomes
Evaluate RN roster readiness and quality/effectiveness of care delivery
Responsible for performance development and trainings, building bench strength, performance management, retention, clinic and team assignments, and teammate relations. Including new ROS trainings, precepting, etc.
When needed, oversees other markets’ RNs and/or ROS temporarily
Participates in review and development of regional budget
Evaluates processes to ensure cost effectiveness and reduce operational expenses
Evaluates projects for cost effectiveness and impact to outcome expectations
Creates and submits financial reports and analysis as needed
Leads implementation of marketing and expansion initiatives
Maintains awareness and knowledge of regional market and trends
Identifies opportunities for development and expansion of enhanced or new services
Participates in joint venture meetings as needed
Assists in and monitors implementation process; ensures deliverables and addresses questions and issues
DKC Collaboration:
Accountable for Clinical Coordinator in-center time and activities (ROS responsible day-to-day)
Oversees RN performance on Core team participation
Partners in DKC-IKC collab calls
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
RN License in the state of practice - AR, AL, TN (Compact) Required
Associate’s Degree Required - Preferred
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Required - Preferred
Minimum of five (5) years’ management experience leading and managing teams; managed care experience - Required
Deals with confidential information and/or issues using discretion and judgment - Required
Intermediate computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook - Required
RN license in the state of practice with no Board of Nursing disciplinary actions - Required
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in clinical nursing; Minimum of 3 years’ experience in renal nursing - Preferred
Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a DaVita IKC Nurse - Preferred
CNN or CDN certification
Up to 50 % travel
