Regional Operations Manager

If you are an energetic Regional Operations Manager  looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based out of Gonzales, LA, the Regional Operations Manager defines and implements strategic plans that are aligned with the North American and Global Flow Controls Strategies within their operations locations.  The Regional Operations Manager owns site P&L (Budget, POR, Growth & Profit Plan) and is responsible for optimizing business performance through effective management of resources and operations.  Operational oversight includes, but is not limited to: safety, quality, production, maintenance, labor and employee relations, and other production-related activities as well as coordinating with the Impact Partner to meet or exceed customer requests.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Expected to support the achievement of the following critical success factors: safety, quality, delivery/lead-time, cost and inventory management. Drive safety as the #1 value throughout the organization.  Lead operations teams to support the overall production schedules needed to meet customer demands for parts and product.  Able to accurately forecast and clearly communicate variance for site(s) P&L. Manage and align workforce resources to appropriately support large, incline field machining for Impact Partners and business, as needed. Strategize production schedules or alternate machining options in response to unforeseen machine downtime, tooling constraints, capacity backlogs, etc. Reduce lead times through set-up reduction and process improvement efficiencies.  Support continuous improvement projects and initiatives.  Participate in long-range planning and strategizing sessions, helping to identify capital needs to support order and product forecasts. Support the implementation of new technology, processes, and procedures. Develop skills and abilities of direct reports, including supervisory skills for those leading direct labor personnel. Provide manufacturing support to groups outside of operations such Engineering, Materials, Sales, Service, or Suppliers  Who You Are:

Present to and communicate with all levels of the organization.

For this Role, You Will Need:

BS/BA in Business, Engineering or Supply Chain discipline.  Minimum of 5 years in progressive management or supervisory roles with direct reports. Prior management or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.  Must be able to lead in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Self-driven, dependable and accountable. Legal authorization to work in United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.
