Regional Operations Manager, EMEA
## **About the Role** Uber Eats is looking to grow its Regional Operations team in the EMEA HQ in Amsterdam. The Operations team plays a critical role in making Uber Eats the preferred delivery platform for merchants, couriers, and customers across our 14 EMEA countries where we operate. Within Merchant Operations, you will be part of a team which is focused on building strong foundations for our merchants—setting them up for long-term success from day one. Our goal is to improve merchant retention and maximize their lifetime value on the platform. Additionally, you will own multiple processes, drive operational improvements, identify pain points, and build cross-functional strategies to enhance merchant success on the platform. You will be instrumental in shaping scalable improvements that boost engagement and long-term success. We are looking for a Regional (Merchant) Operations Manager who will focus on (1) providing analytical deep dives and data driven guidance to improve our existing processes across such areas as well as (2) managing new projects that will increase merchant engagement and success with our platform. **What you will do** - **Analytical deep dives and performance tracking**: Monitoring and analyzing performance metrics to measure the success of strategies and initiatives (including building and maintaining Dashboards), identifying areas for improvement, and providing recommendations to local teams and cross-functional stakeholders. - **Stakeholder Management:** Collaborating with internal teams, including local markets, marketing, finance and Product to get their support on initiatives to drive growth and track progress across the business. - **Build and scale Ops processes:** Create new and scale existing processes across EMEA in order to enable the business to efficiently operate and grow. Utilize data-driven decision making to understand and quantify the performance and prioritize accordingly those processes with the highest impact. - **Project management and execution:** Act as the Project Manager for products and processes led by you, creating launch and expansion plans, aligning multiple team members, tracking issues, driving root-cause analyses, measuring merchant performance, and supervising progress against goals. - **Global Product influence:** Work with the Global Product teams to understand the performance of newly launched products and ensure the EMEA perspective is represented as the products evolve. - **Governance and presentations:** Support the governance of this business line by preparing monthly reviews and presentations to keep all stakeholders informed of our progress. Champion data governance and consistency, using existing source of truth frameworks. **Basic Qualifications** - 3+ years of proven track record in Business Operations, Management Consulting, and/or Investment Banking with a strong analytical background. - Advanced analytical skills in SQL and spreadsheets. Experience in running detailed quantitative analysis, interpreting data, and communicating results in structured deliverables. - Experience in communicating analysis and recommendations, structuring narratives to convey sophisticated ideas efficiently, both verbally and in writing, to diverse audiences - Good problem-solving expertise with the potential to structure the challenges we face into concrete action plans. - Strong business acumen and the ability to quickly identify the key drivers of performance - Validated project management expertise with the potential to set up and implement processes or projects from the ground up - Positive and collaborative "can-do" approach. A resourceful and innovative approach. **Preferred Qualifications** - Balance attention to detail with swift execution - we need to do things quickly, and we need to do them well. Balancing those can be challenging, and this should be a strength. - Creative mindset that understands and enjoys experimental design - Comfort with ambiguity - You are unfazed by executing on projects where all the information is not always available and priorities can change as more data surfaces. We welcome people from all backgrounds who seek the opportunity to help build a future where everyone and everything can move independently.
