The position is responsible for driving operation excellence across the Americas region to support plant performance in the execution of safety, quality, service, and productivity metrics.  The leader will develop and mobilize the strategy for performance management, process excellence, and high performing work teams.  The position is responsible for direct involvement in regional and cross functional lean and six sigma initiatives while developing manufacturing site resources for ownership of operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Hoshin planning, directly apply six sigma methodology to strategic initiatives, and develop process and resources for plant lean initiativesSet strategy for regional evolution in operational excellenceDevelop and oversee site continuous improvement journeysHands on involvement in all aspects of the job to drive engagement through all levels of the organizationSupport the facilities in culture change, key objectives, and engagement through continuous improvement activitiesAbility to align people to a vision and mobilize resources in a matrixed organizationSite visits and travel 20%

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, supply chain or related field a benefit, but not required10+ years of proven continuous improvement experience, specifically demonstration of hands on involvementLSS Black Belt10+ years of manufacturing or logistics experience inclusive of direct involvement in the shop floor levelStrong determination for action and an ability to create and implement initiatives to drive performance improvement, providing examples of tangible results.
