Introduction to role

The Regional Director, Medical Diagnostics (RDMD), is a field-based Pathologist responsible for territories in the US. This role requires a history of diagnostic industry experience or clinical laboratory experience in breast diagnostics and pathology. Anatomic pathologist preferred. Ideal candidate: MD in Anatomic Pathology (US-board certified preferred), collaborates with professionals, aligns commercial/scientific goals.

Accountabilities

The RDMD is responsible for developing and implementing external engagement strategies with Key External Experts and selected State Pathology societies consistent with Medical Affairs teams' objectives. Additional accountabilities include adhering to internal standard processes, aligning with regulatory and compliance requirements, and sustaining expertise in the diagnostic, biomarker, and competitive landscapes.

What you'll do:Evaluate and contribute expertise to the U.S. diagnostic strategy for current and future oncology productsRecommend and deliver diagnostics-focused educational content targeted to HCPs, primarily pathologistsDevelop external engagement strategy and own relationships with key leaders in the diagnostic and biomarker areaGenerate pathology-related insights to shape U.S. Medical Diagnostic strategiesCollaborate with relevant business partners for the development, alignment, and execution of the Medical Diagnostic strategy within the Medical Affairs plans and budgets

Essential Skills/ExperienceAdvanced medical degree (MD)US board-certified pathologistRelevant work experience in industry, clinical, or research institution with emphasis in pathology or tissue diagnosticsDeep understanding of diagnostic FDA environment, clinical laboratory practices including CAP/CLIA lab requirements and test implementationExperience in US Medical Affairs especially US.Ability to interact productively with both commercial and medical colleaguesExperience in developing and maintaining new relationships with External ExpertsAbility to travel up to 40% of time

Desirable Skills/ExperienceExisting relationships with relevant Professional Societies and Scientific Medical ExpertsExperience in a strategy-setting role within Medical AffairsDemonstrated leadership abilities within a matrixed organizationKnowledge and/or expertise in breast therapeutic area
