Regional Marketing & Product Management Leader - AMEA

The Opportunity:

Drive the development of product definition and solution plans to optimize the company’s products and services portfolio. Apply broad knowledge of company’s product/service capabilities and competitive environment to identify new growth areas, new technology and emerging product/service opportunities. Oversee the analysis and evaluation of key market statistics and customer requirements to define product strategies and identify product opportunities to expand market share. Evaluate in-depth market analysis and leads business case for optimization of existing products/solutions alternatives and/or to create the next generation of new products. Collaborate with research and development to create products and validate early product definitions. Manage a large team or multiple teams led by Managers and/or Supervisors.

Position Summary:

This leadership role is responsible for driving brand awareness, brand positioning, growth strategy, lead generation, localization initiatives, and customer engagement across the AMEA region. The position oversees the full product lifecycle, ensuring alignment with regional market dynamics and customer needs. It includes managing a diverse portfolio of self-manufactured, private-label, and third-party branded products. The role also leads a team of Product Managers and a Center of Excellence, with direct accountability for select product lines and innovation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute regional growth strategies aligned with global objectives, supported by robust financial analysis (ROI, NPV, IRR).

Portfolio Management: Oversee product development, lifecycle management, and market fit for both manufactured and OEM-sourced products.

Market Intelligence: Analyze competitive landscape and market trends to guide product innovation and supplier selection.

M&A – Identify potential vendors that should be considered as part of our M&A pipeline review process – regionally or globally

New Product Introduction: Lead the regional rollout of new products, including those from M&A activities and global portfolios.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Define RACI across strategic, local, and field marketing functions; coordinate with sourcing, commercial excellence, and global teams.

Brand & Marketing Execution: Drive brand visibility through targeted campaigns, web sites, digital initiatives, literature development, and adherence to branding guidelines.

Customer & Sales Enablement: Provide product training, support sales events, and contribute to annual sales conference planning.

Operational Excellence: Champion the Avantor Business System, implementing standard work and continuous improvement practices.

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Experience: 15–20 years in a related industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

Skills: Strong leadership, strategic thinking, analytical problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.

Competencies: Results-driven, customer-focused, high integrity, and adept at navigating complex, cross-functional environments.

Experience in life science industry preferred

Team management in larger AMEA geographies

Working Conditions:

Location: Office-based with up to 50% travel across the AMEA region.
