The Tyvek® Garments business within DuPont is the market leader in chemical protection clothing including diverse applications in the industrial, life sciences, and emergency response sectors. The business operates a forward-integrated business model providing finished-product apparel to end-users through a broad distribution network. The product portfolio is wide-ranging and includes leading industry brands such as Tyvek®, Tychem® and ProShield®. The strategic focus for the Tyvek® Garments business is on growth via innovation and commercial excellence.
The Asia Pacific Regional Marketing Manager (RMM) for Tyvek® Garments is responsible for driving growth in the region by tailoring and prioritizing the marketing mix to optimize business results. The RMM’s primary objective for the Garments business is the development and deployment of marketing initiatives that provide the most impact and growth above the natural trajectory of the business. The RMM also serves as the region’s main point-person for the cross-functional business team to ensure collective achievement of shared business objectives.
This role requires a candidate with B2B finished product marketing experience and an understanding of industrial distribution channels. It is also important that the candidate be comfortable identifying regional and sub-regional market trends and charting appropriate courses of action. The candidate is expected to have a strong external focus with the ability to represent the Tyvek® Garments business to a broad industry network.
Position duties include but are not limited to:
Develop and maintain the regional marketing plan and all elements of the marketing mix, Continually research and expand the understanding of regional and sub-regional market dynamics, regulatory trends, growth opportunities, competition, and customer needs to inform regional growth strategies,Prioritize, design, deploy, and manage marketing programs across the region to drive growth above the natural trajectory of the business, including new product launches, channel expansion and development, end-user engagement, digital & traditional promotion, and price optimization.Develop and execute global marketing initiatives in AP such as Sales Plays and firmographic and market share updates.In partnership with the Regional Sales Manager (RSM), lead the cross-functional business team in the region to ensure integration & alignment of all functions to achieve shared business objectives for sales, earnings, and cash.Prioritize regional projects & initiatives, using tools including but not limited to creation of the growth bridge with the RSM, Regional COT flowdown and/or regional dashboards, and other reporting mechanisms.Provide strategic direction for end-use (pull) and channel marketing (push) marketing and sales team members.Provide input on market trends and represent (with sales leadership) the region on Monthly Demand calls, providing input to the Tyvek® Garments Demand team.Represent region and periodically present on Global Marketing Forum and Council calls.Understand and be able to provide strategic guidance on deployment of marketing automation activities and digital marketing tools and metrics in the region.Understand how to leverage distributor point-of-sale data for marketing insights.Support sales enablementProvide strategic prioritization and direction to marketing communication and digital marketing regional teams.Develop competitive response plans.Maintain and develop a strong industry network. Manage and develop direct reports/ personnelRegional budget management responsibilities in alignment with Global MC lead and GMM.Travel: 30%Qualifications:
MBA or Master’s preferredMinimum 7 – 10 years of practical marketing or related experience in B2B and/or B2C channels. Proven track record of successful marketing results. Competitive candidates must be experienced marketing professionals with strong leadership abilities and a growth orientation.A thorough understanding of the Personal Protective Equipment industry. Demonstrated ability to build and develop team talent.
