Position Summary:
The Regional Market Development Manager is responsible for generating sales growth in the Solar segment of our business by working as part of a team that sells and supports all growth in targeted applications, including the PV Plant and Research market in India, Middle East, and Asia. This person will establish professional relationships with key personnel in targeted customer accounts and strategic partners and meet assigned targets for funnel additions and qualified leads.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Promote OTT HydroMet product lines to customers including national ministries and authorities, engineering firms, channel partners, and private and public solar sector developers
Own and manage targets for key applications and market segments, contributing to and executing a segment strategy through collaboration with sales, marketing, product management, and operations teams
Identify, target, and help secure early customers within key applications
Assist with channel partner identification, onboarding, and ongoing training
Regionalize go-to-market plans for new products and campaigns by developing training, customer targeting information, and supporting sales collateral
Collect and report on competitive activity, business opportunities, voice of customer, sales trends, and provide input during monthly business reviews
Support regional pricing and competitive positioning intelligence
Provide technical and application support; support quality, compliance, and technical escalations
Participate in sales activities including phone contacts, trade seminars, conferences, shows, product demonstrations/evaluations, and customer seminars
Develop localized marketing collateral and manage local tradeshows
Report and manage all sales activities through our CRM (SalesForce.com)
Qualifications:
5 years of direct and indirect sales experience, preferably in the Solar market; field selling to system engineering firms, system integrators and state & local government agencies.
A degree in a management or science-related field such as Environmental Science, Solar, Engineering, Business, or equivalent
Thinks through and analyzes complex problems, challenges and drives to root cause.
Prioritizes effectively, acts with speed and agility
Demonstrates deep understanding of customer expectations and end user needs.
Strong critical thinking skills; ability to synthesize data and facts to draw logical and actionable conclusions
Consistently drives high quality, on-time results
Builds and maintains good working relationships with peers and supervisors; works collaboratively
Must have a valid driver’s license
Able to travel up to 25%
Fluent in English
