Responsibilities
The Regional Managing Director (RMD) is responsible for ground handling operations including passenger services, ramp services, operations and ground support equipment for Envoy Regional Carriers, American Airlines and locations which may include other ground handling contractsDirects General Managers to provide seamless and reliable service for customers and their bagsChampion a culture of growth by serving as a mentor to emerging leaders and team members across the organization. Ensures quality ground handling services to retain and attract AA and other airline handling businessFinds innovative ways to reduce and control handling costsResponsible for station budgets, training and airport relationsEnsures stations operate in compliance with all DOT, FAA, OSHA, EPA and company regulations. The RMD acts as a liaison between the company and the FAA and TSA QualificationsWho are we looking for?
Requirements
In this role, the Regional Managing Director must have strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.The ability to handle multiple priorities and adapt to changing priorities is critical in this position. Effective negotiation and decision-making skills are necessary. The ideal candidate must be able to work in a team environment and the ability to prioritize work and projects in order to meet deadlines and objectives.Must be able to work with minimal supervision, report to work regularly and on-time, and be self-motivated.College Degree or equivalent amount of work experienceFive years of operational experience as a General Manager or in a management position in a hub environmentPrevious work experience interpreting policies, implementing procedures and budgetingProven leadership skillsProven work experience building constructive and effective relationships with internal and external customersExperience in negotiating and managing vendor relationshipsAbility to travel frequently with overnight tripsPossess the legal right to work in the United StatesMust be able to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language
