The Regional Operations Manager is a key leadership role responsible for the strategic oversight and operational excellence of three critical distribution centers: the National Parts Distribution Center, River Raisin, and two HVCs (High Velocity Centers) located in Detroit and Twin Cities. Based in Livonia, Michigan, this position is responsible for driving continuous improvement, ensuring safety and quality, managing budgets, fostering positive labor relations, and delivering exceptional customer service in alignment with the Our Ford+ Plan. The Regional Operations Manager will provide leadership and direction to a team of salaried and hourly employee and will be a key liaison between the distribution centers, dealers, corporate support functions, and carriers.
What you'll do...
Responsible for delivering objectives including but not limited to:
-Building Safety, positive UAW Relationships, Error Rate, Denial Rate, Inventory Accuracy, Overtime Percentage, Absenteeism, Vacation Scheduling, Grid Time, On Time Delivery, ISO 14001 Environmental Responsibilities, LPMH, Process Adherence/Improvement, Accountability, Customer Satisfaction, Accurate Application of the Ford-UAW National and Local Contracts, Direct Supervision/training of GSR 6 supervisors.
Overall Building Organization and Cleanliness, Grievance Resolution, Supervision mentoring and Willingness to Work ALL shifts as required.
•Attend, facilitate, and submit proper documentation for crew meetings
Prepare/maintain work related records as needed
•Schedule workforce (including overtime and vacation)
•Champion and lead continuous improvement initiatives toward best-in-class performance
You'll have...
Self Starter mentality.
•Previous UAW/HVC supervisory experience preferred, willing to work rotating work hours when required
•Knowledge or ability to learn current systems (SAP/EWM) Excellent oral and written communication skills
•Ability to interpret data, evaluate actions, and reach logical conclusions independently
•Goal oriented individual
•Have Continuous Improvement mind set
•Excellent organizational skills and ability to demand accountability from all employees
•Other Information: Must be able to work outside of traditional work hours.
•Current operational hours are from 6:00 AM until 1:30 AM
•Some weekends might be required
•Must have the ability to work overtime/adjust schedule as required, as the business dictates.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in warehouse operations management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Demonstrated experience managing multiple distribution centers or large-scale warehouse operations.Desired Characteristics
Extensive experience managing and leading facilities with demonstrated leadership abilities. Extensive Distribution Operations experience in the Daily Parts Advantage (DPA) environment Prior experience in Managing Unionized facilities Extensive and detailed experience with Synchronous Flow Process (SFP) and just in time processing. Ability to travel regularly between the Livonia, Detroit, and Twin Cities locations. Can communicate effectively with facing dealers and sales regions to identify opportunities to maximize customer satisfaction and loyalty. Strategic Leadership & Operational Oversight:
Creates a culture of proactive safety ensuring our most valuable asset, our team members, get home safely every day Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations at the National Parts Depot and provide comprehensive oversight for the Detroit & Twin Cities HVC operations. Drive the execution of the Our Ford+ Plan within the assigned region, ensuring alignment with company-wide objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs). Leverages data and insights to drive lean improvements that deliver on quality and cost targets. Continually seeks opportunities and inspire others to improve processes and outcomes, leveraging KPIs and the PDCA model Develop and implement strategic initiatives to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, improve quality, and enhance customer satisfaction. Lead the development of annual budgets and business plans for each facility, ensuring financial targets are met.
Performance Management & Continuous Improvement:
Directly and indirectly lead a team of salaried staff, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance management to ensure achievement of key performance metrics (e.g., safety, quality, LPMH (Labor Productivity per Man Hour), on-time delivery). Supervise and coach HVC Managers/Operations Managers to implement process improvements and drive continuous improvement across all metrics. Identify and implement best practices in warehouse management, inventory control, and logistics. Utilize data analysis and performance reporting to identify areas for improvement and track progress against goals. Provide leadership and direction to a diverse workforce, including salary staff (Traffic, Security, and Inventory) and hourly employees. Develops “leaders as teachers” and prioritizes ongoing development and evaluation of employee performance to continually create high performing teams that deliver results for the Ford Motor Company Develop salaried team thru training, coaching and mentoring. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting employee engagement and development. Effectively manage Positive Employee relations, ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements and resolving labor-related issues.Stakeholder Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with Ford Dealers, Parts Managers, Carriers, Supply Chain partners, Regional Hubs, and all corporate support functions. Serve as a key point of contact for communication and issue resolution with internal and external stakeholders. Participate in national and local negotiations as required. Responsible for customer service within the assigned geographic areas, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment. Proactively address customer concerns and resolve issues in a timely and effective manner.
Safety & Compliance:
Champion a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and promoting a safe working environment for all employees. Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Facility Management:
Oversee facility maintenance, ensuring that all buildings and equipment are properly maintained and in good working order. Manage capital projects related to facility improvements and expansions.Lead cross-functional teams to implement energy reduction initiatives and promote sustainability.
