Job Summary

The position is primarily based in the ACT & Southern NSW, with some travel expected.  The Regional Manager position's main purpose is to sell service-related services and products. Realizing the objectives set for Maintenance, Repairs (TBA), Rental and Parts, and plant upgrades. Building and maintaining relationships with customers whereby the established number of customer visits is realized.

The Regional Manager is a multifaceted role that requires a blend of sales, customer relationship management, and operational oversight in the successful delivery for this position

1.      Sales and Business Development:

o   Promote and sell service-related services and products.

o   Achieve sales targets for Maintenance, Repairs (TBA), Rental and Parts, and plant upgrades.

o   Develop and implement sales strategies to meet regional objectives.

2.      Customer Relationship Management:

o   Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.

o   Conduct regular customer visits to ensure satisfaction and identify new business opportunities.

o   Serve as the primary point of contact for customers from installation through the lifetime of the equipment or service contract.

3.      Operational Oversight and Management of Technicians:

o   Oversee the installation of new equipment, repairs, quotes and implementation of service contracts.

o   Coordinate field service activities and manage a team of technicians.

o   Ensure successful project delivery, including timely invoicing and collections.

o   Monitor and improve customer satisfaction levels.

4.      Support and Coordination:

o   Provide support for equipment sales through contract pricing on parts and services.

o   Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery.

o   Address and resolve any issues that arise during the service lifecycle

 

Responsibilities:

 ·        Oversee the service coordination function to respond efficiently to customers, ensure technicians’ training and skill level is appropriately balanced to service customers, and leverage resources across the district.  This includes emergency repair, regular maintenance contracts, scheduled work and upgrades, installations, replacement components, and long-term service agreements. 

·        Effectively attract, coach, counsel, train and develop all service employees.  Drive continuous improvement through company performance management process and technical product training programs available.  Develop employee skill levels, including customer service, process and technical skills to the highest degree possible.

·        Maximize cash flow by ensuring invoices are generated immediately upon completion of work, managing expense budgets and increasing utilization of the service team.   Ensure that standard service work processes are created and followed.  Improve transactional processes impacting customer experience and increase overall customer satisfaction.

·        Ensure environmental, health and safety compliance within service team.  Provide training to all employees to ensure a safe and productive work environment both in the shop and at customer sites.

·        Project Supervise and manage Chiller installations and construction work to ensure high standards of workmanship and efficient work schedules are maintained.

·        Responsible for project design, variation quotations and execution and leading a team to accomplish specific projects objectives, whilst strictly adhering to Trane’s tender processes.

·        The role may require periods of travel & on-site management adequate to support a successful project.

Travel to customer job sites is required, which may include outdoor work and/or work in mechanical/equipment rooms.  During the site visits, the employee may be exposed to variable weather conditions; moving mechanical parts; heights, and other variable environmental conditions based on location.Achieve the set sales and delivery targets, objectives and marginsAnnually prepare a regional strategic plan, based on the set objectives and annual targetsPeriodically evaluate the progress of the annual plan based on the monthly, YTD results and bookings; proposing corrective actions (after analysing found deviations in the annual plan) and implementing Increase market share Identify customer needs and translate this into commercial solutionsManage and maintain the administrative processes associated with the position

 Qualifications: 

·        Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, business or equivalent from a four-year college or university preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

·        Minimum of four (4) years’ experience in an industrial business setting.   Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in managing teams of people, processes, and budgets.

·        Project Management qualification and previous project management field experience preferred

·        Proven ability to form positive working relationships within a team, with subordinates and with management

·        Ability to multi-task, to assess the difference between the urgent and the important tasks and to schedule work accordingly

Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months

Duties & Responsibilities

•       Meet the required monthly safety KPI‘s and review with team.

•       Work closely with internal stakeholders in executing sales project plans

•       Gain strong understanding of the opportunities within the fast-growing Trane solutions market

•       Continue to learn and develop yourself in significant industry knowledge

•       Be aware of your overall financial objectives and work proactively to achieve these goals

·        Lead the account management effort with assigned customers

·        Management of Trane CRM, set clear sales plan objectives, ongoing

·        The role may require periods of travel & on-site management adequate to support a successful project.

·        Assist Vertical Market Leaders across the business from a sales support perspective. This assistance may include site audits/surveys, preliminary engineering design, estimating of product and hard/soft services, proposal development and customer presentations

 

Develop & Maintain Networks

•       Foster and develop successful customer relationships at all stakeholder levels

•       Achieve assigned sales revenue and gross margin targets in existing customer sites and new business sourced through Maintenance/Trane Select, repairs/TBA components, rental, Trane Parts, controls/contracting.

 Qualifications & Experience

•       5 years' experience in the relevant industry

•       Current NSW driver's license

•       Trade Qualified in Mechanical HVAC

•       An understanding of WHS requirements in NSW
