Job Description

We are looking for a Regional Manager, Production Operations to join the Technology & Operations team, supporting the NBCU Local Technology and Operations Mountain Region. The Mountain Region includes Denver, Salt Lake City, Las Vegas, Phoenix/Tucson, Albuquerque, and El Paso. As the Regional Manager, Production Operations, you will be primarily responsible for leading the teams that deliver daily live news production and managing the control room(s) and studios.  You will also serve as a key engagement lead/escalation to other departments, ensuring successful delivery of production services to these internal client groups. Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for overall technical execution and quality of all live productions within the regionResponsible for staffing and supervisory duties of Production Operations Specialists, including hiring, scheduling and performance management in accordance with local station policiesDevelop and mentor Production Operations SpecialistsDevelop, maintain and ensure team execution of standard operating proceduresPlanning and execution of live event coverage (parades, debates, etc) within the regionCollaborate in the planning of the TV News operating and capital budgetsCollaborate with News, Technology and other departments as needed through regular and clear communications with Department Heads and employeesProvide on call coverage for breaking news and disaster recovery scenarios as neededLead operational response and stakeholder communication during incident and disaster recovery scenarios impacting production operations

QualificationsMinimum of 5 years relevant experience, including minimum 3 years of leadership experience, consisting of people management, service leadership, or indirect leadershipBachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, radio, television & film, related fields or equivalent experience

Skills & Experience we are looking for:

Experience managing personnelExperience leading local news or live event production operationsPrior experience as a Director or TD within automated control room environmentsHistory of establishing and maintaining operational standards and team accountabilityHistory of establishing and maintaining client relationships, resulting in satisfied stakeholdersKnowledge of FCC rules and laws pertaining to news broadcasting on multi-media platforms, and employment and labor regulationsWritten and oral fluency in English and Spanish, preferred

This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
