Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
We are looking for a Regional Manager, Production Operations to join the Technology & Operations team, supporting the NBCU Local Technology and Operations Mountain Region. The Mountain Region includes Denver, Salt Lake City, Las Vegas, Phoenix/Tucson, Albuquerque, and El Paso. As the Regional Manager, Production Operations, you will be primarily responsible for leading the teams that deliver daily live news production and managing the control room(s) and studios. You will also serve as a key engagement lead/escalation to other departments, ensuring successful delivery of production services to these internal client groups. Job Responsibilities:
+ Responsible for overall technical execution and quality of all live productions within the region
+ Responsible for staffing and supervisory duties of Production Operations Specialists, including hiring, scheduling and performance management in accordance with local station policies
+ Develop and mentor Production Operations Specialists
+ Develop, maintain and ensure team execution of standard operating procedures
+ Planning and execution of live event coverage (parades, debates, etc) within the region
+ Collaborate in the planning of the TV News operating and capital budgets
+ Collaborate with News, Technology and other departments as needed through regular and clear communications with Department Heads and employees
+ Provide on call coverage for breaking news and disaster recovery scenarios as needed
+ Lead operational response and stakeholder communication during incident and disaster recovery scenarios impacting production operations
+ Minimum of 5 years relevant experience, including minimum 3 years of leadership experience, consisting of people management, service leadership, or indirect leadership
+ Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, radio, television & film, related fields or equivalent experience
Skills & Experience we are looking for:
+ Experience managing personnel
+ Experience leading local news or live event production operations
+ Prior experience as a Director or TD within automated control room environments
+ History of establishing and maintaining operational standards and team accountability
+ History of establishing and maintaining client relationships, resulting in satisfied stakeholders
+ Knowledge of FCC rules and laws pertaining to news broadcasting on multi-media platforms, and employment and labor regulations
+ Written and oral fluency in English and Spanish, preferred

Required onsite. This position is required to be performed full time onsite from an NBCUniversal designated work site within the Mountain Region (Denver, Salt Lake City, Las Vegas, Phoenix/Tucson, Albuquerque, or El Paso)
