Regional Legal Lead – Netherlands & Region

Location: Netherlands (hybrid working possible)

About the Role

As Regional Legal Lead, you will be responsible for providing legal support to internal stakeholders in the Netherlands and across the region. Your focus will include commercial contracting, compliance, and data protection matters. You will work closely with colleagues across Europe and have the opportunity to help shape legal processes and standards. Additional responsibilities include supporting our human resources team on employment related matters, including answering non-complex questions relating to employment matters.

This role is well suited for a legal professional with 4–6 years of experience, looking to take on more responsibility in an international setting and contribute to both strategic and operational matters.

Key Responsibilities

Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts for the Netherlands and the broader European region.

Advising on a wide range of legal topics, including privacy (GDPR), commercial law, and employment-related matters.

Supporting risk and compliance assessments in coordination with internal stakeholders and external advisors.

Managing legal escalations in collaboration with the broader legal team.

Working with regional colleagues to align and improve legal processes and practices.

Potentially guiding or coordinating local legal support within the broader European region, which may include support to our business in other European countries.

Your Profile

We are looking for a pragmatic and proactive legal professional with a strong sense of responsibility and solid communication skills.

Master’s degree in Dutch law (LL.M) or equivalent legal qualification.

 4-6 years of relevant experience, ideally in commercial or corporate law.

Additional experience supporting employment related matters

Solid understanding of privacy legislation (GDPR); previous experience is a plus.

Affinity with international business environments, particularly across the European Union and the United States.

Fluent in Dutch and English (written and spoken); fluency in German and/or French is a plus.

Flexible, analytical, and able to work independently in a dynamic setting.
