Regional Launch Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

The position is responsible for planning, directing and coordinating all activities associated with new project launches, process changes, engineering changes to the product during launch and customer approvals by allocating the necessary resources, eliminating barriers, meeting customer specifications and defined objectives in Quality, Time and Cost_0-0-100-100-90.  Defines and monitors strategies that enable the achievement of key business objectives by promoting the use of continuous improvement tools.  Ensures that all project tooling expenses comply with the Client's guidelines and definitions. Obtains documentation from the Client that supports reimbursement for engineering change costs. Ensures compliance with the requirements established in the Adient Project Release System (PLUS) by all functional team members (SDT). Develops and approves the project scope and identification. Conducts project meetings and exit reviews for each phase of the APQP. Prepares and approves schedules, open issues lists, and action plans. Leads project planning and documents deliverables. Reviews the SSOW, Parts List, and BOM. Requests, approves, and closes deviations from the product and process. Initiates, recommends, and implements technical solutions for a variety of complex or unusual design-related problems. Reviews and promotes design changes to meet the Plant's manufacturing requirements. Ensures that the project team works cohesively and meets schedule, quality, and cost requirements. Maintains close communication with clients and suppliers. Receives and sends project status information. Calculate capital, tooling, and launch expenses. Review budget utilization.  Responsible for developing and maintaining effective internal communication channels with other departments to ensure proper dissemination of technical product information. Knowledge of APQP, BOS, PLUS, POS, GD&T, ISO/TS. Skills: Certified Six Sigma Green Belt, MS PRoject, CI Tools (KT, Lean Mfg, etc.), Basic knowledge of VDA, BiQS, CQI-15, and/or TPS. 
PMP certification is desirable. Professional education desirable: Master's degree with 6 years of experience in the position and proficiency in business English.
